How to Build a Content Batch Day in Notion (Free Template Inside)
Stop switching between tabs. Here's a repeatable system to plan, write, and schedule a week of content in one focused session.
Batch days changed my content game. Instead of scrambling for ideas every morning, I now spend one afternoon per week creating everything in one go. The key is a simple Notion setup that moves from ideation to draft to schedule without friction.
Start with a master content database. Each entry has a status (Idea, Drafting, Scheduled, Published), a platform tag, and a due date. I use a Kanban view to drag cards through stages. For the batch day itself, I create a temporary filtered view: only cards with status "Idea" and due date within the next 7 days. That's my hit list.
I work through the list one by one. Write the copy, grab images, add captions — all in one Notion page per piece. A formula field calculates the optimal posting time based on past engagement. When I'm done, I change the status to "Scheduled" and move on. The whole batch takes about 3 hours and frees up the rest of my week.
Want to try it? I've packaged the exact template I use — it's free to duplicate. Link in the comments. And yes, it's the same one I use for this very blog.
